Open-ended spanners are multi-purpose, single-piece tools that may be used on a wide range of fasteners in the house and in the workplace. One or two heads can be found on open-ended spanners (one at either end of the shaft). Two-headed spanners will have two different sizes, ranging from one to two. Open-ended spanners' heads are typically angled at a 15-degree angle to the shaft. When the spanner is flipped over, this allows for more mobility, resulting in a greater turning arc in enclosed spaces.
